Americans buy more drugs per person than any other country, and for the first time more than half of all insured Americans take prescription drugs regularly for chronic health problems. This statistic may be indicative of a few major factors: worsening public health, more aggressive treatment by doctors, and the ever-present advertising dollars of pharmaceutical companies. Dr. Steven Chang, the author of DailyDose, is a staff physician with Kosmix RightHealth.
