Lawmakers in the state of Rhode Island today overrode a veto by their governor making it legal for up to three nonprofit stores to sell medical marijuana. The stores will sell medical marijuana only to chronically ill patients who are registered with the state Department of Health. Under federal law medical marijuana is still considered illegal, but President Obama’s administration has stated they will not target stores which comply with local state law. California and New Mexico are the only other states in the US that allow medical marijuana sales.

the use of”plants” in medical treatment…digitalis and purple foxglove are plants to use medicine…so with that being a given. then whats the gbig to-do about this plant which occurs naturally in nature, being used a medicine? ok so it has a reputation from the counter-culture of the 60’s! most of those who are using it, get it illegally anyway…drugs are like alcohol and we all know about prohibition(talk to your grandparents) REGULATE IT, CONTROL IT AND MONITOR IT, BUT ALSO GIVE IT TO THOSE IN PAIN, AND RECOGNIZE IT AS A MEDICINE.. have you seen grannies slurping up “nightquil” it isn’t regulated is it?? I’ve seen people have to detox off the stuff, but its still OTC!!

I say CONTROL IT, LEGALIZE IT TO A POINT, MONITOR ITeg. FOR MEDICAL USE, I AGREEEEE. For personal use in restricted amounts, this herb was sent from the creator and it is allll GOOD. There are other herbs that has the same Uphoric effects. The powers that be made alcohol legal, because they make soooo much taxes from it, cigarettes which cause sooo much distruction to the human body. And the list could go on. So give the Ganja a chance…

Find one case of overdose from smoking untainted marijuana please? I cannot find one unless the idiot added something to the natural occuring plant (as done with coca, opium, ect.) and other things that occur in nature that are “tough” GOD puts either in cowmanure or surrounded by sharp cactus thorns, ect. BUT weed is much more easier on the body than other antiametics(nasuea meds..however spelled),works on pain for many ,many better than opoids, tax it,regulate it,sell it,aleviate the pain and mystery that makes our youth so interested anyway!I dont use it b/c it would make me a criminal with more problems than I started with, unable to get jobs, ect. but I have never known a head to withdraw (really withdraw w/seizures,bowel disturb.,vomiting,fever,ect.) like with other drugs!I dont trust anyone my age(40)or less who says they have never tried it b/c they are either a liar or too darn good of a citizen for me to be around! You can have smoked and join the top law(FEDERAL)agencies in this country! What gives? Legalize weed not legalize drugs like meth….idiots!
