I agree with Buddy. Too much money is at stake here ...beware of who you believe.

“US physicians support a government-offered, public health insurance option. 63 percent of physicians surveyed say they favor giving patients a choice that includes both public and private options”

If you think private health insurance can compete against a government that has the ability to tax us to death and make the laws you are naïve. The private option will disappear and the Government will be more involved in your life than ever.

A wise man once said “I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them". He was Thomas Jefferson It's about who knows best for you...who would you choose? We need more options not more Goverment.

It seems to depend upon from whom you get the information. I just got information which says that 60% of MDs are against the presently being considered health care proposal(s) with about 34% of MDs supporting it.
Anyway, what's all this about health care? The consideration is about medical insurance not health care - seems as if someone is using "news-speak". Health care is taking care of health, but according to some physicians, they can be fined for doing any preventive care under Medicare and other government sponsored medical programs. So much for health care; if it's not a condition it's not covered.
